Watching
Everything works with a TV remote's arrows, OK and Back. On a phone, the same things are a tap away.
The guide

Favorites, hidden channels and sort
Hold OK on a channel to add it to Favorites or hide it (or its whole group). Hidden channels are listed under Settings, Hidden, where you can show them again. Favorites, hidden channels and sort order follow you to every screen on your account.
Search
Choose Search and type at least two letters: you get channel names and programs on in the next 12 hours, plus movies and series by name. Where the device supports it, Voice search works too.
Pause and rewind
Pause any channel from its options (hold OK) or the phone's full-screen bar. While paused or behind live:
| Left / Right | Back or forward 10 seconds |
| OK | Pause or play |
| Back | Return to live |
How far back you can go depends on the channel.
Multi-view
Hold OK on a channel and choose Watch beside what's playing. Up to four channels share the screen; you hear the highlighted one. OK watches it full screen, hold OK changes or removes a tile, Back leaves. (TV, Windows and web.)
Movies and Series
When your playlists include them, Movies and Series appear in the menu (the Groups list on phones), by category, with posters and details where the source provides them. Continue watching lists what you haven't finished.
- Seek: on a TV, highlight the progress bar and use Left and Right; on a phone, tap or drag it.
- Audio and subtitles: choose a language from the list; your choice is remembered. Subtitles that can't be shown are switched off rather than stopping the film.
- Episodes follow on by themselves, with an "Up next" card at the end.
On a phone
- The video is on top and channels below; turn the phone sideways for the list beside the video.
- Groups switches group, Movies and Series. A left- or right-handed layout is in Settings.
- Use as TV remote turns the phone into a remote for a ChannelSplice TV on the same Wi-Fi: a D-pad, search, and tapping any channel to put it on the TV. The first time, type the code the TV shows. The link is encrypted, and a remote-only phone doesn't need an account.
Looks
Settings has several color themes, the guide layout, and the clock (12- or 24-hour). The account page can set the guide and clock for a screen; see screen settings.
